Be Here Nowra is a community happiness project. We teach meditation as a method of improving happiness of the individual. Courses are taught regularly from our location in Nowra CBD. We believe meditation raises the consciousness of the individual which in turn improves our community.

Vedic Meditation is a simple, natural, innocent process that systematically removes stress from our physiology. It's an effortless practice that anyone can learn. We teach courses in meditation that run over four consecutive days with sessions about 90 minutes each. Our goal is to teach you a skill that you can practice for life.

Research suggests if you can get 1% of a population to regularly meditate, it can have a seismic effect throughout the whole community. This is known as the "super radiance effect". We believe to effect change we must raise the consciousness of the individual and the benefits will flow to the community. 

There are many types of meditation, we teach Vedic Meditation which is an ancient technique originating in India and now taught all over the world. It is known as a self-transcendent technique. When you learn Vedic Meditation you are given a personalised mantra and the procedure how to use it properly.

The four day course includes a one-on-one initiation where you will receive a personalised mantra. Once you have completed the course we will have additional follow up sessions. You will also be invited to our twice weekly group meditations which will remain free for life. For all this we have a suggested contribution of $550 + gst. As this is a community project the cost of the course is a suggested contribution. We are open to any amounts of contribution as long as you value the teaching. 

Payment plans split over 3 months are available. 

We are currently applying for NDIS status and currently do not have any funding through Medicare, aged care or Allied Health Services.
