Venue Hire

1st Wendouree Scouts is a Youth group hall located across the road from Stockland Wendouree shopping centre. The main entrance is large and multi-functional. It has no steps, so accessibility is easy. There are male and female toilets, as well as an ambulatory bathroom, including a shower. There is a large kitchen, with cooking equipment available. Outside are two gates, one on the street and one closer to the hall. If the 2nd gate is closed, the entire yard is fenced, which is excellent for the safety of younger children. There is also plenty of off-street parking available near the hall. Heating is available, but no cooling.

The hall is a 15-minute walk from the Wendouree Train station. The shopping centre is right across the road, including Coles and Woolworths. The city centre is a quick train ride away from the Wendouree station. The public bus stop is a short 2-minute walk from the hall.

Hiring our hall directly supports our youth programs as all our leaders and committee are volunteers. This space is ideal for Community gatherings and groups, dance classes, gym classes, consultations, training and workshops, and more. We have tables and chairs for 20 People. As this is a youth venue, we have a no-alcohol policy for hires.

We provide a non-formal educational movement, Scouting strives to contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials and individuals. Our program focuses on personal progression and developing the community leaders of the future.

A firepit on site can be used (not when there is a total fire ban). Firewood is not available and must be brought with you.
