Who we assist

Thrive will support existing tenants in Public Housing or Aboriginal Housing who are having difficulty sustaining their tenancy. Thrive will also support people on a housing waitlist; that being people who have 12 months or less from being allocated a property who may be homeless. Target groups include people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background, CALD backgrounds or living with a disability.

Referral process

The majority of referrals to Thrive will come from the Department of Communities (Housing) staff or regional service providers. Mission Australia will raise a referral if they become aware of a family who may benefit from Thrive, however this will require approval from the Department of Communities. individuals and families may also self-refer. Thrive enables earlier referrals Thrive staff should work closely with DoC staff to identify potential participants early.
