Samson House at Walyalup on Whadjuk Nyoongar Country
National Trust of Western Australia
About Us
Samson House at Walyalup is considered one of the most significant heritage places in Western Australia because of its original furniture and household collection.
The collections relate to two generations of the Samson family and the house itself is an excellent example of 19th century colonial architecture in a delightful garden setting.
Designed by Sir Talbot Hobbs in 1888 for Michael Samson and later home to Sir Frederick Samson, it is literally a treasure trove of objects, art and furniture providing a snapshot of early life in the port city of Fremantle.
You can take a guided tour of Samson House at Walyalup on the first Sunday and third Wednesday of the month. To book your next tour, visit our website.
Samson House at Walyalup is managed by the National Trust of Western Australia.
