About Us
Y Striders is a not-for-profit club for people who want to improve or maintain their fitness. Members are primarily over 40. The object of the club is to encourage and promote health and fitness through regular exercise in a friendly noncompetitive environment. Y Striders have the opportunity to participate in strength sessions, running and walking. New members are encouraged to join in and are carefully monitored to ensure they build up fitness levels without stress or injury. The programs have been established with the assistance of Sports Medicine Australia and are supervised by a qualified Fitness Trainer. The club also conducts a number of social events for those interested and special training for those wanting to take on more serious challenges.
