Balonne Community

Balonne Shire Council has an approximate area of 31,000 km².

It is comprised of the localities of Bollon, Dirranbandi, Hebel, St George and Thallon plus parts of Mungindi.

It is surrounded by the councils of Brewarrina, Goondiwindi, Maranoa, Moree Plains, Paroo, Walgett and Western Downs.

It is within the state electorate of Warrego.

It is within the federal electorate of Maranoa.
