About Us

Rural Health Group unites over 25 years of experience from its former entities, CQRH and RHMS, to lead a more integrated, accessible, and impactful approach to rural healthcare. We provide:

  • General Practice Management: Since 2011, we have supported rural GP practices across Queensland – both privately run and those affiliated with Queensland Health – offering services like practice management, staffing solutions, accreditation guidance, training, and local coordination, so clinics can focus on patient care.
  • Chronic Disease Management (CDM): Delivered in partnership with FNQ PHN, our CDM program emphasises early intervention, personalised care plans, and regular health checks – promoting independence and reducing pressure on emergency services.
  • Mental Health Services: Our team delivers personalised mental health care across life stages via telehealth in Central Queensland, the Central Highlands, and the Wide Bay region, supporting access wherever you are.
  • Healthcare Advocacy: We advocate deeply for rural health needs. While the community-based suicide prevention planning project concluded in 2024, we're still actively engaged with the Central Queensland Suicide Prevention Plan (CQSPP) initiative to help communities develop and sustain local Action Plans. Additionally, our Drought Leadership Groups – formed from local consultations – strengthen communities' resilience to drought (and other shocks), by supporting mental wellbeing, facilitating government liaison, and promoting long-term recovery strategies.
