About Us
Lucem Vitae is a group of young Christian musicians who love to share the joy of faith through song. This vibrant ensemble, which is currently led by past and present UQ singers Bonnie Conwell, Hainian Yu and Naomi Klazinga, explores a wide range of repertoire from the 16th century to now, with a particular focus on works which bring “life and life” through statements of faith, love and joy. Recent highlights include Charpentier's Midnight Mass (Christmas 2022 and Forthcoming in 2023) and John Steiner's Crucifixion (Easter 2023) at the Laidley Anglican Church, "Make a Joyful Noise" (forthcoming at the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia), Brisbane's Anywhere Festival (2022), Kompiam Fundraiser concert (City South Baptist Church) as well as various performances at hospitals (PA, St Vincent's Private Hospital) and old-age homes (Aveo Newstead).
