Cookery Nook

Born from the initiative and values of several Sisters of Mercy and volunteers who sought meaningful employment opportunities for those who were disadvantaged, the Cookery Nook now boasts over 20 years’ experience in providing employment, voluntary and work experience placements, training and professional development opportunities for people with a disability.

The individual’s employment status, therefore, creates positive economic outcomes for the community by: 

- Reducing the amount of social security a person would receive;

- Creating opportunities for further career progression and income; and

- Positively contributes to a person’s physical, social, and mental state.
