We are commonkind, a volunteer-led Australian registered charity on a mission to turn Australia from the “lucky” country into the loving one - by empowering young hearts to build kinder, more compassionate communities.

Our vision is rooted in the belief that children and young people aren’t just future leaders - they’re powerful changemakers right now. We create age-appropriate, hands-on community service opportunities that enable them and their families to support Australians facing poverty, food insecurity, and poor health and wellbeing.

As a registered Public Benevolent Institution, commonkind focuses on engaging school-aged children in meaningful service. We partner with schools and care providers to co-design customised service learning programmes, ensuring the experiences are relevant, impactful, and led by young voices. We offer four options for service:

• Learn by Heart - bespoke service learning opportunities for schools and other education providers
• Follow Your Heart - community service opportunities co-designed with child and youth changemakers
• Home is Where the Heart Is - community service opportunities for families
• Work of Heart - community service sessions for workplaces that are also suitable for children. 

These activities are all aligned with three of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 3: Good Health & Well-being
