About Us
WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?
NECSG Youth Support is a youth support service funded by the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety that provides information, advice and referral as well as client case management to young people aged 12 to 21 who are at risk of disconnection and experiencing challenges in their lives.
We work with young people who voluntarily want to access NECSG Youth Support to make positive changes in their lives. If you don’t have a safe place to live, are involved with the justice system, struggling to stay at school, are having issues with alcohol or other drugs and/or generally feeling like the universe is against you, we may be able to help.
Sometimes we’ll organise to have a 1-1 chat, other times it might provide assistance for some specific support you need, or it could be about planning a change in your life. We get referrals from heaps of places like schools, legal services, youth justice, families, friends, other government and non-government organisations, but please keep in mind we’ll only work with and for you if you’re willing.
