Ignite Community Services

We are committed to providing structured and purposeful support to people with a disability to live the life they always dreamed of. With traditional supports and new ones such as Schoolies Crew and Social Crew supporting people to build friendships and networks outside of the usual circles. We promote inclusion, social justice and independence to all our participants. Supports can all be paid from you NDIS plan. Ignite operates in the Ipswich, Logan and South Brisbane areas. 

* Schoolies Crew - For Teens aged 11-18 with a disability. This program runs afterschool, 2.30pm - 6pm. All inclusive cost and transport can be provided from school to South Street Fuze. (Extra transport costs to be advised) All costs can be claimed from the teens NDIS plan. This is a brand new type of support. We run a different program, 5 days per week with activites, afternoon tea, transport with the program and supports all included in the rate. (NOTE: Ipswich based schools only)

* Social Crew - A fortnightly activity run on a Saturday for people to make friends and explore different things within our community. Activities range from trips to the beach, going to festivals, community events, concerts, shows and many other interesting places. This is a popular program and has built many friendships outside of the group. 

* Dinner with Friends - A dinner run each month at a new restaurant. New food experiences and new friendships are on the menu. This is a popular program and has built many friendships outside of the group. 

* Supported Independent Living - Supporting people to live in their own homes, the way they choose. We work together to find the right co tenancy and where possible we like to start from scratch so we can work together for a long term goal.

* Support Coordination - We do this a little bit different. Our Support coordinators have caps on their capacity to ensure they are able to work closely with you and are there when you need them. They work hard to ensure that you get what you need, when you need it and ensure that everything is followed up in a timely manner. Support Coordination should reduce your stress and frustration, not increase it! 

* Community Access and In home Supports - Staff are matched carefully with you to ensure that you have someone who you are comfortable working with you, who understands your goals and who supports you every step of the way.
