About Us

We are a group of like-minded ladies who enjoy all aspects of needlework. We welcome new membersThe Henzell Street Quilters first met on 27th March 1984, with a group of 6 ladies. The group was named after the original meeting place at the Education Centre in Henzell St, Redcliffe. From a small beginning we now boast upward of 60 members and continue to meet weekly Some of the activities the group is involved in include making quilts for:Hummingbird HouseRedcliffe HospitalPrince Charles HospitalLady Cilento Oncology UnitJebb HouseWe support various other needy groups like Breast Cancer, making Bags for drains etc. Toiletry Bags for Womens RefugesPencil Cases for Sri Lanka Catholic Run School for Children.Wheelie Walker Bags for Pensinsula Aged Care.Specialty quilts for various Peninsula based Charity Organisations for fund raising rafflesWe stage a quilt show every 2nd year & this will be held at Webb Hall (in the Redcliffe Showgrounds) on Friday 25th to Sunday 27th May 2018. We also have an exhibition at the Redciffe Art Gallery in alternate years.
