About Us

The sanctuary is a safe, restorative space – a trauma-healing centre that brings people, animals and nature together to improve the emotional well-being of some of the most vulnerable members of our community - women and children living with mental health challenges as a result of traumatic life experiences.

We offer a variety of individually tailored evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches including:

- equine therapy programs

- art therapy programs

- mindfulness and mediation programs

- grief & loss counselling

- therapeutic gardening programs

- yoga/pilates/stretching somatic well-being programs

Programs are supervised and run by qualified psychotherapists and program facilitators – most of whom have also healed from big life experiences. They understand what it takes to heal and are proof that it is possible.

Having this level of peer support is recognised as being essential to trauma recovery and it is what differentiates us from traditional trauma therapies.

Programs are free for those experiencing financial difficulty.
