General Disability Services

About Us

At Ochre Care, our mission is to provide quality social work services to individuals and families in need. We strive to make a positive impact in our community by helping people overcome challenges, develop skills, and achieve their goals.

As a social worker with a person centred approach, I have strong interests in improving the lives of people that live with a disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Also, having lived and worked in remote areas of Australia, I understand the challenges associated with limited services in these areas.

I have extensive experience working in various roles within the NDIS Industry:

  • Disability Support Worker providing quality on the ground support to participants, including daily living, community access and personal care
  • Support Coordinator with a Not for Profit Organisation helping participants to understand their plan and connecting them to NDIS providers, community, mainstream and other government supports to build capacity and gain independence
  •  Case Manager with Disability Services, Queensland Government helping individuals and families with accessing the NDIS, including individuals incarcerated and living in very remote Aboriginal communities.

These roles have provided me with a holistic view of how to best support people that live with a disability, delivering quality care with benefits to the individual, their family and the community.
