TRAMS
- Providing support to refugees and migrants to assist with a smooth transition into Australian society.
- CatholicCare’s Toowoomba Refugee and Migrant Support (TRAMS) program provides refugees and migrants assistance to become self-reliant and to participate equitably in Australian society as soon as possible after their arrival in the Toowoomba community.
- The TRAMS program helps people with the settlement process for between six months and 5 years, and includes a number of important supports, including:

- Personal Casework: Assessment of client needs, development of case plan and support to learn to manage and navigate life here in Australia. The aim is to support clients to be able to independently care for their personal and family wellbeing.
- Referrals: Learning where to access appropriate help is a large part of living in Australia. We make referrals for new arrivals about where and how to access help.
- Orientation Class: Is a proactive way for clients to learn about the systems, rights and responsibilities of living in Australia. With the support of key service providers in Toowoomba.
- Employment Support: TRAMS provides employment support through state funded programs that include traineeships for eligible participants.
