parkrun - Strathalbyn

The event starts at Rotary Park near the junction of Sunter Street and Albyn Terrace. It’s a 2 lap out and back course on a tree lined bitumen track following the Angas river. The course is generally flat with a few small inclines. There are public toilets in the town centre a short distance away. The track is pram friendly. Facilities Toilets located in the town centre a short distance away. Ample on street parking and a nearby car park. More parking available at Alfred Place. Play ground near the toilets. Local shops are also nearby. Getting There Location of startThe run starts at Rotary Park near the junction of Sunter Street and Albyn Terrace. Getting there by public transportBuses are limited but some buses run to Strathalbyn from Mount Barker. Check bus timetable on the Adelaide Metro website. Getting there on footIn the very centre of Strathalbyn is the historic footbridge in the Soldiers Memorial Garden. Whilst stood on the bridge, walk towards the toilet block on Commercial Road, opposite the Post Office. Whilst staying on the grassed area, turn left with the Angas River on your left and shops on your right. Continue walking on the path under the road bridge. After passing the road bridge, the start of Strathalbyn parkrun is approximately 50 metres in front of you on the bitumen path. Getting there by roadComing from Mount Barker, approach Strathalbyn on Gransden Road. At the first round about take the 2nd exit onto North Parade. Continue on North Parade and bear left where the road becomes Sunter Street. Continue along Sunter Street passing St Andrews Church on the left hand side. Continue past the War Memorial, over the Angas River. Parkrun starts behind the Terminus hotel on the left hand side. On street parking and nearby car parks are available.
