Huon Valley Alphabet Mafia

The Alphabet Mafia provides a secure and welcoming environment for queer youth (12-18ish) in the Huon Valley.

HVAM is 100% Volunteer created, managed, and run.

We meet regularly in Huonville, at various locations until we can secure a permanent space.

At our meetups we hang out, eat snacks, play games, spill tea, and generally just have a really fun time!

We also have a Discord Server and a Minecraft Realm.

Every Gender & Sexuality is welcomed and recognised. Straight Allies are very welcome, but will need to be invited by a current member.

Mafia members, their friends, and their families, have free, safe, and private access to the information and stories that matter to them through our Private Library.

While HVAM's main focus is fostering social connections, we also offer young people the chance to encounter positive role models, receive mentorship, gain access to resources, and find understanding and support, all of which enhance wellbeing and community involvement.
