About Us

Natimuk Men's Shed has been established to provide opportunities for men of all ages to socialise, share their skills and experiences, maybe partake in a lite gentle exercise, engage in individual or community projects mostly involving woodwork or metalwork, take part in awareness raising workshops, including topics related to men's health issues, "get out of the house" or "solve the problems of the world". The most important function of the Men's Shed is to provide a venue for men to get together and talk. Activities may include, but are not limited to, on-site individual woodwork and metalwork projects, leatherworking, onsite or off-site community projects, workshops on men's health issues, bus trips, gentle exercise activities, or workshops to acquire new skills such as small engine maintenance. Community project undertaken by the men's shed will be decided by consensus of the members, individuals are not obligated to participate in the community type projects if they choose not to do so. Natimuk Men's Shed is an alcohol, drug and smoke free 'workplace'. Every effort has been and will continue to be made to ensure that the work area is compliant with workplace, OH&S standards to minimize risk of injury to participants. There are very few rules. The only obligation is for the members to enjoy his time at the shed and contribute to the enjoyment of other members.
