About Us
Maribyrnong parkrun is a flat, out and back course following the Maribyrnong river. It starts with the river on the left following the bike path south; runners travel past Pipemakers park and continue until looping clockwise around Burndap park. On completion of the loop runners re-join back onto the bike path and return north towards the finish line with the river on their right. Facilities The nearest public toilets are located at EA Coulson Gardens (Chifley Drive, Maribyrnong) Unrestricted parking available at Anglers Tavern. Getting There Location of startThe run starts at Burton Crescent/Raleigh Road, with the river on the left. Getting there by public transportTake the 57 tram from Elizabeth St in the city to stop 42 Maribyrnong Rd/Clyde St. Catch the train from Melbourne to Ascot Vale station, walk to Maribyrnong Rd. and catch the 82 tram from stop 35 through to stop 42 Maribyrnog Rd/Clyde St. Getting there on footFrom Tram stop, enter park on the left hand side of the road (if coming from the city) and walk 100 meters to reach staging area. Getting there by roadIf using SATNAV, the nearest postcode is 3032. From Melbourne city centre, follow Elizabeth St. until reaching the large roundabout on Royal Parade. Take the second exit onto Flemington Rd. and continue straight until it becomes Mount Alexander Rd. Follow Mt. Alexander Rd. and turn left on Maribyrnong Rd. Follow Maribyrnong Rd. until you cross the river and turn right onto Clyde St. and right again onto Chifley Drive.
