Maison Burlesque

Welcome to Australia’s Largest Burlesque Academy.

Located in a beautiful historic building on Bridge Road in the heart of Richmond, our beautiful boutique burlesque studios are designed for dance classes, hens parties, catered functions & more! Far from your traditional studio, our aim at Maison Burlesque is to provide delightful, memorable experiences for show ponies from all walks of life - incorporating a burlesque, vintage, and retro flair!

We offer a wide range of dance classes for multiple experience levels, in specialities including burlesque, cabaret, floorwork, chair dancing, belly dance, feather fans, silk fans, and more. We run 5 terms per year, and our timetable can vary. The choice of options is endless with our Showcase and Technique classes.

• Looking for just a taste of what we do? Or keen to finesse a specific skill? Our casual drop-in “Tech” Classes (short for technique) are perfect for those who don’t want to commit to a full term of burlesque, or are wanting a bit of extra practice. Available to drop in anytime! All upcoming classes will appear in chronological order on our enrolment page. 
• Learn the art of burlesque, and an array of vintage dance styles, in our specialised Showcase Courses - with the chance to perform in our end of term showcase at Max Watts! All enrolments are for an 8 week course in our studios in Richmond. Casual drop-ins are not available for these courses. Class numbers will be capped at a maximum of 14 students for personalised learning. 

We also have a variety of upcoming workshops that we frequently host for a number of interests, including dance, skill refining, sewing, act development, show business discussions, and more!

With options for Burlesque Workshops, Catered Events, and Burlesque Show tickets we've got something to suit all group sizes. At Maison Burlesque with over 15 years experience running burlesque themed functions and events, we help you create the ultimate hens night or private event that is not only fun, decadent and stylish but also individually tailored to suit all tastes and budgets.

Studio hire is also available for photographers, videographers, and any other creatives looking to utilise our spaces. Our two boutique themed rooms, the pink mansion inspired “Mansfield” and speakeasy art deco “Dietrich” rooms, have been designed and constructed with love and care - suitable for classes, rehearsals, photography and boutique private events. Both rooms feature a full mirrored wall, lush decorations, sound system, adjustable lighting options and airconditioning.
