About Us

The course starts from the grass area located between the 2 beach areas near the playground. Runners will complete 2 anticlockwise laps of the Lillydale Lake. The course consists of mainly flat, wide and firm gravel surfaces. You will stay to the left of the track at all time and have caution when crossing the slightly narrow foot bridge and the bollards on entry and exit of the foot bridge. You will also be treated to lake views and beyond along with rabbits and wildlife for majority of the run. Facilities There is ample parking, and toilet facilities along with a great playground. Getting There Location of startThe run starts at the straight nearest to the community center and the playground (keep an eye out for the parkrun flags). Getting there by public transportYou can catch the 673 bus which departs Lilydale train station and will drop you right out the front of the Lillydale Lake complex. Getting there on footIf you are attending the event by train, the station is located approximately 2.5km from the Lillydale Lake. Exit the train station and head east along the Maroondah highway, turn right onto Anderson Street until you come to the Swansea Road round about (approximately 500 meters ) You turn right at the roundabout and the Lillydale Lake is located approximately 200 meters on the right. Getting there by roadDrive through the Lilydale township on the Maroondah Highway, turn right onto Anderson Street until you come to the Swansea Road roundabout (approximately 500 meters ). You turn right at the roundabout and the Lillydale Lake is located approximately 200 meters on the right. There is ample parking within the Lillydale Lake complex; the start lineis located near the “dog off leash area” at the rear of the complex.
