About Us
Corcyra is a speech pathologist with over 20 years clinical experience, specialising in the area of paediatric dysphagia and feeding. In 2021 she achieved registration as an Intenational Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is passionate about helping parents, infants and young children achieve postiive, successful and safe feeding.
Speech Pathology feeding services include:
- oral function assessment including tongue-ties
- NDIS and disability related issues including paediatric dysphagia and developmental feeding skill progression
Lactation Consultant feeding services include:
- supporting carers and parentsin their infant feeding choicess whether that be exclusive breastfeeding, combination feeding or bottle feeding
- antenatal support sessions (group or individual) to assist parents-to-be prepare for the arrival of their baby
- all parental aspects of the feeding dyad: for example positioning and latch coaching, milk supply, expressing, breast health (nipple pain/ damage, engorgement, mastitis) bottle and teat selection etc
- all infant aspects of the feeding dyad: for example latch and suck skills, feeding patterns, intake and growth, post-feed contentment etc
Community Education
- Delivering breastfeeding workshops for antenatally expectant parents or sessions for groups of new parents with babes under 12 weeks of age.
Wednesday clinic appointments available based out of Wandina GP practice (call 9923-9999 to book).
Home visiting consultations available for residents within Geraldton central suburbs (Drummonds Cove to Wandina)
Telehealth (phone or video consults) available for more regionally located clients. Travel to regional sites possible for group or coordinated events.
