About Us

The Art of She

Expressive Arts for Women and young girls (6 to 12)

Therapeutic Arts therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

For people who may not be able to articulate thoughts, sensations, and emotions, the creative process is useful in conveying what may be difficult to express with words. It is also a sensory-based approach that allows us to experience ourselves and communicate on multiple levels such as visual, tactile, kinaesthetic, and more.

Arts therapy can support in achieving increased self-awareness, and relief from stress or anxiety, learning difficulties, and other traumatic experiences. Through art therapy, clients receive support and guidance that is based on their existing strengths, interests, and concerns.

The ART of SHE provides a professional, respectful, non-judgmental, and safe space for young children and women, to embark on a journey of self-discovery through the creative psychotherapeutic process.
