Citizen Advocacy Perth

Citizen Advocacy matches people with intellectual disability with volunteer advocates, creating unique, often long-term relationships. Recruited, trained, matched and supported on an ongoing basis by Citizen Advocacy, each volunteer advocate independently represents the interests of the person with disability.

Volunteers act as allies, mentors, and friends, offering support to overcome challenges, access resources, and advocate for the rights of those they’re matched with.

Citizen Advocacy volunteers can assist with emotional support, practical assistance with everyday tasks, advocacy, social inclusion, goal setting and empowerment.
